SERDANG, April 23^rd - The Mega Raya Aidilfitri 2024 Celebration Ceremony at the PTJ level-IKP (Institut of Plantation Studies) took place with great excitement in the IKP’s Meeting Room. IKP members consisting of top management, staff, and postgradute students attended this event. Concurrent with this event, a Briefing Session on IKP’s Strategic Direction and Excellence was also delivered by IKP’s Director, YBrs. Prof. Madya Ts. Dr. Siti Khairunniza Bejo which elaborated the IKP strategic direction framework especially in the field of plantation research. She also conveyed the UPM’s VC wishes to encourage researchers in conducting the high-impact research, improving the quality of services at UPM's level, strengthening the community, and empowering the industry so that UPM is always relevant at the global level.

The event was then enlivened with a raya feast with a variety of raya dishes such as roasted mutton, satay, lemang, charkuetiaw and variety of desserts and cookies. The special menu, chicken rendang and ketupat palas was prepared together by the IKP staff and served to the guests. Also enlivening the ceremony was the presence of former directors YBhg. Prof. Dr. Mohd Khanif Yusof and YBhg. Prof. Dr. Shaufique Fahmi Ahmad Sidique, as well as the presence of all IKP research associates. The IKP is pleased to receive visits from friends from various PTJs such as UCTC, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Biotechnology, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, and so on. Hopefully, this event can bring us together and strengthen the connection between us.
