SERDANG, Mac 27^th – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Rafein Zakaria, Head of the Laboratory of Processing and Product Development, Institute of Plantation Studies (IKP) was awarded a research grant from Universiti Putra Malaysia under the Graduate Initiative Grant(GP-IPS) scheme in the amount of RM20,000.00.

The title of the research project is "Production and Characterization of Sophorolipids by Candida sp. using Palm Mill Effluent Oil" and the project members are Ms. Chin Sze Jie and Dr. Halimatun Saadiah Hafid.
