On 9 March 2018, the third research collaboration meeting with MPOC was carried out at IKP Meeting room.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yew Foong Kheong from MPOC; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulkefly Sulaiman, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusoff Samad, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Hasmadi Ismail and Dr. Zailani Khuzaimah from IKP. At the meeting, MPOC basically agreed to provide a research grant for biomass research with amount around RM200 thousands.

MPOC also seeking for collaboration with IKP in organising forum and programme in promoting Malaysian palm oil industry at UPM level.
